We started Blu Dog Roofers because of my passion for construction. Growing up on a dairy farm and I’ve been around hard work my entire life. Truthfully, I’ve always considered myself a blue-collar guy in a white-collar job.
My brother, who is quite a bit older, had a roofing and siding business. While in college, I worked for him. I was mainly a laborer. (The owner’s brother couldn’t come home from college and get the easy jobs.)
Hot summer days on a roof with a stripping shovel and freezing Syracuse winters running a siding brake are memories I’ll never forget. I never minded the work, although I didn’t love the cold.
Some college kids will do anything for beer money! For the last 25+ years, I ran a business in a different field, although I always kept my hand in local construction around Davidsonville, MD. I love being outdoors, waking up with the sun, drinking a cup of coffee, and driving to a job in my truck.
I love meeting with local Maryland people and helping them solve their problems.
Let’s face it, not many people WANT a new roof. They want to avoid or fix a problem. I understand that.
We have streamlined Blu Dog to make the process easy for customers. I can’t stand contractors that are hard to reach, ghost customers, don’t show up on time, or don’t show up at all. That’s why I’ve surrounded myself with the very best people who are knowledgeable and reliable.
